Dr. Ghasemi was born in Ilam in 1982. In 2005, he graduated from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran with a bachelor's degree in history. In 2007, he received a master's degree in world general history from Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran, and in 2015, he graduated from the University of Tehran receiving a PhD in the history of Islamic Iran. Dr. Ghasemi has been a member of the faculty of the History Department of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz with the rank of assistant professor since 2016. Currently, the focus of his research is on the history of Iran in the Safavid era and the local history of Iran.
