 Main objectives

This course is designed to introduce the Ph.D. students to fundamental concepts, major theoretical issues and principal areas of research in SLA and explore the relationships between these works and classroom second language learning.

The role of native language

Input, interaction and output in SLA

Instructed SLA

SLA and pedagogy

 

III. Course requirements

Regular attendance

Active participation in the class discussion

Two presentations
