Adel Sawadi was born in 1975 in Bostan in Khuzestan province. In 1997, he received his bachelor's degree in Persian language and literature from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, and in 2000, he received his master's degree in the same field from the same university. Finally, in 2009, he received his doctorate in Persian language and literature from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. He has taught various courses in Persian literature at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, and his focus is on children's literature, comparative literature, contemporary literature as well as Arabic and English courses.
